![]() ![]() In sound options I see two HDMI audio output options, one of which is said to be unplugged (saw another post here about this) the other is in use and tests ok. I would also be curious to know if the Realtek drivers I have had to install are fouling things up. Second question, should I have to split the audio in this way, or should everything regardless of format go over HDMI without issue? I use the DVD/BD input for watching films through TMT where the audio source is set up as HDMI.įor TV I have set the AUX source on the amp to output via HDMI4 also, but I have had to set the source to Optical SPDIF in order to have DD via HD broadcasts. I have the PC connected to HDMI4 port on the amp. The amp indicates that it is playing either DD or DTS via HDMI, but no lights to show HD audio.įirst question, do these CPU's bitstream the audio? If so I assume that I'll never see these HD audio indicators. My issue is getting either of the HD audio formats to amp and having them recognised as such. I have this CPU installed on a Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3 Motherboard and this is connected by HDMI to my Onkyo 507 amp. ![]()
